Closet Peep: Part 1 Jeremy

Chef, tie designer, photographer, stylist, executive assistance, bag designer and baker extraordinaire are just a few of the hats worn by this enterprising man. Introducing Jeremy Vander Noord, this weeks wardrobe heart throb. It took four fun filled hours, two bottles of Prosecco and one digital memory stick to capture the amazing style embodied in this wardrobe. What we adore most are the narratives embedded within each item. There is a story for each piece and its journey from the production line to Mr Vander Noord's closet. The cargo pants worn by his brother as a 15-year-old cadet, his uncle’s vintage pimp suit, the Ebay vintage Burburry trench buy, the net a porter shoes on sale. This is why Jeremy's wardrobe is a two-week project. It simply wouldn’t be right to cram all of this style into one peep.
Introducing the amazing Mr Vander Noord!

Name: Jeremy /Nickname: Jem

Age:36

Sign: Pisces

Occupation: Office Operations / maker; textiles, print, leather

My friends describe me as…Very kindly as, "tall, complex, loving, creative, sensitive, proud, with eager eyes that some times do not hide his gentle excitement when he sees you."

Three words you would use to describe your wardrobe? Eclectic, sentimental & thoughtful
What is the most treasured item in your wardrobe: My Dries jumper

My style philosophy… Increasingly to keep it simple.

What are your favourite shopping destinations? Wherever I can find Dries van Noten or Yohji Yamamoto

Street shopping VS Department Stores: Street

The fashion moment you'd rather forget: A t-shirt I bought when I was 16 with about 20 cartoonish pot-smoking Rastafari on it

Physical Vs. Online shopping? Physical, but online is becoming more of a habit. Once you know your size…

Rich biiish or bargain hunter? or You spend HOW MUCH on your Threads?!?! I do very occasionally pay full price… but usually I find the bargains. I did miscalculate once in the US and paid an airfare for a pair of Paul Harnden pants…

You wake up in the morning and think what would... wear, who is your style-spiration? No-one particular. I dress for myself.

If you could have any superpower what would it be and why? To teleport, like Nightcrawler. Or 'phasing' like Kitty Pryde, a.k.a. Shadowcat.

My guilty pleasure is: Buying clothes

When I grow up i wanna… live in my own house and travel a lot more

Item i couldn't live without… My laptop

Your current fashion obsession? Navy blue/White t-shirts. Has been and will be a life long obsession.

I thought it was a good idea at the time... the item you bought but have never been able to pull off: Initially the very wide-legged Paul Harnden pants, which I subsequently altered myself. I wear them a lot more now.

The tune that's on repeat on your iPod: Danish songstress, Tina Dico

Website you can’t live without: Currently love tumblr.com; for bits of everything and collecting my own ideas of beauty

App addiction: I only have one app: Weather

My style is... If I like it, I wear it. I am moving toward a more minimal future however.

Closet Peep: Georgina

For this natural beauty, less is more. Georgina loves her basics and works the classic jeans and tee like no other, but this girl is far from being a plain Jane. Georgina turns her outfit up a notch with a stand out piece or great accessories. And who could forget those crazy curly locks! LOVE. Markets and vintage stalls are where you will find this lady who has a knack for choosing items, hidden to our untrained eyes. Georgina's skills with the sewing machine allow her to transform her finds, breathing new life into pre-loved items. She loves music, being a singer herself and can be found camping all over Australia, making her way from festival to festival. We have a sneaking suspicion she'll be the one headlining one-day...
